Elizabeth Menist serves as general counsel to over seventy condominium associations and housing cooperatives. In addition, Ms. Menist, who has a background in employment and higher education law, represents individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses in litigation involving employment discrimination, breach of contract, defamation, divorce and family law issues, real estate and landlord/tenant issues. In keeping with the firm’s focus on keeping its clients out of litigation, she also prepares and reviews contracts of all types and residential and commercial leases; and provides advice to employers and employees on a wide variety of employment issues. Ms. Menist clerked for the Honorable R. Terrence Ney of the Fairfax County Circuit Court. Prior to her career in the law, Ms. Menist served in a variety of positions in university administration and was an investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Ms. Menist is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia Bars. |
