John E. (Jack) Scheuermann has been a lawyer and professor of law since 1973. He has extensive experience as a litigator in the local and federal trial and appellate courts in Washington, D.C. His areas of practice include property law, insurance law, employment discrimination law, small business representation, landlord and tenant relationships and the laws governing community associations (condominia, cooperatives and home owner associations). Mr. Scheuermann has served on numerous court committees over the years, including his current service on the Superior Court Civil Rules Committee and the Superior Court Advisory Committee for the Appointment of Magistrate Judges. He is the Chairperson of the D.C. Bar Foundation’s Scoutt Prize Committee. For many years Mr. Scheuermann was Executive Director of the Consortium of Universities Law Students in Court Program, a joint venture of the Georgetown, George Washington, American, Catholic and Howard University law schools. He is married with two children and resides in Bethesda, Maryland. |
